Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rachel was born April 5, 1927, to Livrado and Maria Barajas in Fort Worth. She was the rock of her family and always kept them together. Rachel taught them how to love unconditionally. She was the best mom and grandma ever. "You better believe it!"
She was preceded in passing by her husband of over 45 years, Juan D. Ramirez; son, Juan "Baby" Ramirez Jr.; sister, Sara Gallegos; and her parents.
Survivors: Children, Anna Mary Ramirez, Minnie Ramirez Pantoja, Albert Ramirez, Augustin Ramirez, Francis Mata, Fina Esquivel, Mary Alice Tamez and Mary Jane Laughlin; 50 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
