

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Dick was born Dec. 9, 1932, in Dallas. He was a 1951 graduate of Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. He resided in Fort Worth and Hudson Oaks for the last 78 years. He worked as a carpenter for local union 1822 and the Fort Worth ISD until he retired. After moving to Hudson Oaks, he did part-time carpentry for Parker County. He was a master Mason in Polytechnic Lodge No. 925.
His favorite hobbies were working in his woodshop and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family he so loved spending time with.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Charles, in 1974 and second wife, Jeanne Charles, in 2008; parents, Ray and Catherine Charles; and brother, Ray Jr.
Survivors: He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Cathy Fish and Nan Taylor and husband, Mike; son, Bubba Charles and wife, Angi; stepchildren, Jennifer White, Audra McDaniel and Mike Sparkman; grandchildren, Andie, Alicia, Brittany, Mindy, D.J. and Morgan; stepgrandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Braylen, Garrett, Randall and Kristen; and great-greatchildren, Victoria, Samantha, Colton, Charlotte, Cody, McKinzie and Brooke.
