Rita Platt, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, Nona, sister, aunt, and friend, Rita’s kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Rita found her greatest joy in family, embracing every moment spent together. She had a love for the outdoors and creativity, whether decorating for the holidays, hosting family gatherings, or making everyday moments special. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of her unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rose Mary and Emery Weimer.
Rita leaves behind her loving husband, Timothy Platt; her children, Timothy, Melisa, Aubree, and Dawnelle; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; ten siblings; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Though she is no longer with us, her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Vincent De Paul in Arlington, Tx with a rosary at 10:40am followed by a mass at 11:00am and reception.
