The McKenzie family announces the passing of Robert M. McKenzie who left us on June 23, 2025, at the age of 92. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born in Honey Grove, Texas, he was the son of J. O. and Jessie McKenzie. Bob is survived by his wife Carol McKenzie, son Dan and his wife Becky McKenzie, daughter Julie Brooks and her husband Jimmy, daughter Mary McKenzie, granddaughter Karolyn McKenzie and grandson Robby McKenzie and his wife Lauren and their daughter Chloe.
Bob met Carol at East Texas State University, and they were married in 1955. They spent eight years in the air force with Bob attaining the level of Captain. He had a diverse career including positions with LTV and the Western Company. He owned Dunhill of Fort Worth and was the Dean of Business and Technology of Navarro College. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge and was a long-time member of First Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
A graveside service for Robert will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
