Ruby Nell Queen

Ruby Nell was born October 1, 1943, to the late Willie Bridges and the late Julia (Williams) Bridges.

Ruby grew up in the Como area of Fort Worth, graduating from Como Senior High School. She was married to Kenneth Queen for 48 years until his passing. She had 3 children from a previous marriage. Ruby was a member of the Como Alumni Association and a long term member of the Twilight Civic Culture Club where she was club President at one time. Ruby worked many years with AT&T before retiring.

In addition, to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Queen, daughter Shurlana Baker; and two brothers Melvin Bridges and Marcus Bridges.

Ruby Nell leaves to cherish her memory children- Calvin Baker, Cheryl Smith, Xa’Myriyah Queen and step-daughter Terrie Reed-Cesar. Grandchildren- Michelle Casborn, Shantelle Reeves, Stefon Simon, David Baker, Julien Smith, Louis Smith, Diamond Smith; one brother Lawrence Bridges, sister Willie Ruth (Bridges) Trotty; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends and church family.
