Ruth lead a wonderful life in her walk with our Lord and exemplified his teachings on this earth.
Raised in Whitney, Texas along with her seven brothers and sisters, she married Norman Erwin on August 24, 1946. The two lived life big during their 58 years of marriage. The Lord blessed them with two children, Darrell and Charlotte; then through their marriages Audrey and Tom.
After retiring from Alcon in 1978 Ruth began her golden years packed with adventure. She and Norm spent time traveling remaining active until he passed in 2004. Doting on her children and grandchildren she was an active member of Christ Church in Fort Worth. Ruth led an active life spending time with family and her church. Ruth took pride in her family, entertaining, and creating a welcoming home for family and friends. Ruth will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Her legacy will live on through her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her devoted husband Norm, sisters Irene, Opal and Pat, brothers Earl and Kenny, granddaughter Daphne Reynolds; and parents Tearice & Oneda Surginer.
Survived by Darrell & Audrey Erwin, Charlotte & Tom Stokes, grandchildren, Todd Erwin, Alicia Faires, & Alexandra Stokes, great grandchildren Peyton & Cole Reynolds, Alyson & Jillian Faires; through marriage Chad Reynolds, husband of granddaughter Daphne Reynolds deceased, and Steve Faires, husband of Alicia Faires; Siblings; Betty Tawater, Eugene & Becky Surginer, numerous nieces, nephews & extended family.
