Ruth Elizabeth Johnson passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at her home. Service: Her homegoing celebration will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greater St. Stephens First Baptist Church, 3728 E. Berry St. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: noon to 8 p.m Tuesday with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. Survivors: Children, Wanda Burroughs (Freddie), Dian Jackson, Betty Thompson (Richard) and Tommy Pye (Teresa); sisters, Irene McDonald, Katherine McLane and Mary McDonald; grandchildren she raised as her own, James Pye (Tracy), Tunya Mohamed (Abdul) and Roderick Pye; and a host of other grandchildren, family and friends.
