Obituario de Selma Jean Fullmer
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Our darling Selma at the sweet age of 80 yrs, formerly of Danville, Illinois, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on February 25th, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

During her life time, Selma, who was not one to sit inactive was an active member of her community in Fort Worth. She was a member of The Miller Brewery Retirees Group, AARP Group, Greenbriar Community, Citizens on Patrol with the Fort Worth Police Department, and TCC Group.

During her time with the Miller Brewery Company she worked in traffic and transportation and the scheduling department where she retired in 2005. During that time, she earned the nickname 'Selma Lou'.

Selma was an active member of her local SW Fort Worth AARP Chapter #4116. She was involved with the chapter board for over 15 years being in charge of the membership roster and the Sunshine-Telephone Committee.

In 2007 she joined the Citizens On Patrol (COPs) through the Fort Worth Police Department. Her priority was the safety of her community. She volunteered with various events and programs as a Citizens on Patrol volunteer.

Selma was active in starting the Greenbriar Neighborhood Association by being a member and by serving on the board.

Selma enjoyed going to the theatre with members of TCC. When the group dissolved, being Selma, she gathered some of her friends and continued going to the theatre which she really enjoyed.

Selma was known for her friendly, kind and caring personality. She always welcomed you with her smile and was a pleasure to be around. She was a giving person who always was willing to help anyone in need. Being very fond of her two cats, Patches and Spirit, Selma donated to many animal organizations.

Selma was preceded in death by her two ex-husbands and her son.

She is survived by her cousin, Mary (Jeff) Hibler and numerous other cousins in Danville, Illinois. She also leaves her "family friends" from her Greenbriar neighborhood, and all the groups she was a vital part of. She was loved by many and will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, should friends or family desire, a contribution may be sent to The American Lung Association or the charity of your choice in the name of Selma Fullmer

Memorial service will be held on Saturday March 13th, 2021 at 11:00 am at Edge Park United Methodist Church 5616 Crowley Rd Fort Worth, Texas

Following the memorial service, Selma's wish was to be interred in Danville, Illinois with her family.
