

Ms. Sharon Yolanda Moore was born to Ms. Nell Ruth Moore and Mr. Ernest Tucker on October 3, 1958. She was the oldest of three children. Sharon received her early education in the Dallas Independent School District, attending Middle School at Robert T.Hill and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1976. Sharon professed her faith in Christ in 1975 and began attending Beverly Hills Church in Oak Cliff. After High School Sharon enrolled and attended Tarleton State University and El Centro College during her Freshmen and Sophomore years. Sharon was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was an active participant in the Baptist Student Union groups on both campuses. In 1983 she relocated to Bakersfield, California and later movedto Long Beach, California where she received her B.S degree from Long Beach University. In addition, Sharon began worked for the Long Beach Housing Authority in 1984 and faithfully served in that position for over twenty years until her retirement in 2015.
After her mother's passing Sharon moved back to the DFW area to devote her remaining years to being the primary guardian and caretaker to her youngest brother Chris. Sharon regularly attended several churches in the Fort Worth-Arlington area. She developed a compassionate heart for the homeless community and became a regular volunteer serving those on Lancaster Avenue and downtown Fort Worth. Early Saturday morning, February 28, God graciously summoned her to her eternal rest. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, from now on, they shall rest from their labor, and their works will follow them (Revelation 14:13)." Sharon’s son Steven Christopher, mother Nell and her brother Shannon preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother Christopher Moore and host of cousin’s relatives
on February 28, 2026, at the age of 67.
