Sherilyn Yvette PHILLIPS

Sherilyn Yvette Cook-Phillips was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 11, 1964 to the parents ofMcClennon Cook Sr and Sterlene D. Cook. She received her education in the Fort Worth Independent. School District, and she was a 1983 graduate of Southwest High School. Sherilyn's life was blessed when she met the love of her life in 1983. She met Kenneth Phillips, and the two were lovely united in marriage on October 23, 1984. They began a beautiful life together which lasted thirty eight years. Within their union, they raised two wonderful children: Cassandra and Marcus. She was employed by HealthSouth Rehab Center where she assisted with patient care and rehabilitation for over twenty plus years. Sherilyn was an amazingly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a contagiously friendly personality and loved everyone. She will always be remembered for her big-dimpled smile that you could see from a mile away. Being raised by God-loving parents, Sherilyn's walk with the Lord began at an early age. She loved the Lord and had very strong faith; she was a faithful member and servant at Koinonia Christian Church where she worshipped, fellowshipped, and served with her church family. Even in difficult times, she never lost her faith in Jesus Christ. After a very blessed life, Sherilyn Phillips entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, McClennon Cook Sr; sister, Vicki Lynn Larkins; two brothers, Kenneth W. Waites and McClennon Cook Jr.

She leaves to cherish the precious memories of her family: husband, Kenneth Phillips; mother, Sterlene D. Cook; daughter, Cassandra Cook; son, Marcus Phillips; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Phillips; grandchildren, Kamya Thomas, Christian Cook, Jaida Hartsfield, and Graceson Phillips; great-grandson, Ayden Thomas; brothers, Michael Cook, Sy'Gerry Cook, and Patrick Cook; sister-in-laws, Tamesha Cook, Mary Cook, and Katherine Boone; nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
