

Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with visitation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will take place immediately after the service in Burleson Memorial Cemetery.

Shirley was born May 22, 1937, to Jim and Maudie Truelove in Johnson County. She was a graduate of Burleson High School (class of 1956) and lived in Burleson most of her life.
Shirley was a devoted and loving mother and spent much of her life as a full-time homemaker. She also worked as a bank teller and a florist, and retired as a receptionist from Huguley Place retirement community where she worked for over 15 years.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, floral arranging, needle crafts, ceramics, and watching TV.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Garland Ezell Timmons; her parents, Jim and Maudie Truelove; her brother, Kenneth Truelove; and her sister, Jaunice Morris.
Survivors: Shirley is survived by her son, Eric Timmons and his wife, Megan, and granddaughters, Lily and Keri, who lovingly called her "Granny T." Her family circle also included several nieces and nephews, and a network of many longtime friends.
