Sula was born in Summerfield, Ohio, on Nov. 3, 1931, one of 10 children of the late Fred and Clara King Gordon. Sula attended schools in Summerfield, Ohio. She was elected as city clerk in Caldwell, Ohio. She retired from Ohio Power in Newark, Ohio.
Sula was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Johnson; two brothers, Charles Gordon and Floyd Gordon; five sisters, Lucy Gordon Bates, Marcella Gordon Parsons, Wilda Gordon Hughes, Thelma Gordon Lee and infant Katheryn.
Survivors: Sisters, Ruth Fogle of Caldwell, Ohio, and Sue Kelcey of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
