Sue was born September 15, 1961 to Otti and Richard Hundley in San Diego, CA. The family then moved to Humble, TX where she spent her childhood and teenage years playing clarinet in the Humble High School band, honoring her German roots as a member of the German Club, on the swim team and serving as lifeguard before graduating in 1980. Humble is also where she met her husband, Brent in 1980.
During their 39 years of marriage, Sue and Brent were blessed with two children, Kristen and Adam, who quickly became the center of her world. While raising her family, Sue was able to pursue her passion by working as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She enjoyed working in the home health industry, enhancing the lives of the people in her care, but the title of mom was the one she was most proud of. This focus and love for her children meant she never missed a school event or milestone for either of them showing both her strength & dedication to her family.
Deeply devoted in her faith, Sue never met a stranger, and if you were to meet her once, you were her friend for life. Sue also looked for the humor in life and delighted in the sound of laughter. A trait she shared lovingly with her grandchildren Hewitt, Ottie Rose, Henly, Hudson and Elaina Sue who she cherished with her whole heart.
Sue was preceded in death by her mom Otti Hundley and father Richard Hundley.
Sue is survived by her husband Brent Achttien of 39 years, their two children; daughter Kristen and her husband Casey Boggess, son Adam Achttien and his wife Jory, grandchildren Hewitt, Ottie, Henley, Hudson & Elaina; her brother Chip Hundley, his wife Lynn and their children.
