

Susan Kaye Haydon was born in Dallas, TX on May 24,1956 to Joe and Mary Frances Harris. She lost both of her parents as a teenager. She was introduced to Tommy Haydon by a mutual friend at the age of 23. Her friend Melanie and her would go dancing at the Sunset Club.
In 1979, Melanie asked Susan to dance with Tom one night and that is where it all began. Their romance blossomed quickly, and it became apparent that the two of them were destined to be together. In 1980 Tom asked Susan to be his wife. She became the stepmom to Ruben and Dana when they married in March of 1980.
That role opened the door to the most important role of her life besides being Tom's wife. She would soon become Mimi. One of her most important roles and one that she treasured. In 1984, Joshua Paul was born, then in 1986 Kelly and Kristina.
One by one the rest joined the family, Jonathan, Jeremy, Joe Thomas and Chance. She and Tom had a beautiful life together. They enjoyed traveling and camping with their friends and family.
She loved reminiscing about all the places they traveled and all the memories she had of her Mother and Dad. She enjoyed cooking and loved to make her Mama's recipes.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Mary Frances Harris, her granddaughter Alicia Haydon, grandson Jonah-Eli Sterling Haydon and her beloved Husband Thomas W Haydon. She is survived by son Ruben Haydon and daughter in law Jerri Haydon, Daughter Dana Huffman and husband Jeff, grandson Joshua Paul Haydon and wife Vivianee, grandson Kelly Michael Peterson and wife Whitney, granddaughter Kristina Haydon McDougle, grandson Jonathan Haydon and wife Randi, grandson Jeremy N Haydon, grandson Joe Thomas Huffman and wife Kristen, grandson Chance Huffman and 11 great grandchildren.
