Pastor Terry Dean Roediger went to meet his lord and savior on Saturday morning August 22, 2020. He was born to Orville and Garnetta Roediger in Phillps TX on April 24, 1949. Terry graduated from Phillips High School in 1967 as an all star athlete, he was a Phillips Blackhawk through and through. So much so that about 20 of his graduating class brought their 51st High School class reunion to him at a Rehab/Nursing facility he was doing rehab since he couldn’t make it the year before to his 50th. He accepted a scholarship to play football at OSU but chose to leave after only one year to marry the love of his life at 18. Shortly after marrying Donna they moved to Bethany, Oklahoma to complete his college education and move toward becoming an ordained minister. Terry served in the ministry for 35 years pastoring several cities throughout TX, he was a professional puppeteer for years and even hosted a television show at one point during those years. He moved his family to the DFW area settling in Fort Worth in 1981 as the senior pastor at Meadowbrook Church of the Nazarene. He had the privilege of leading hundreds of people to the Lord. He retired from full time ministry in 1995 to start traveling to other churches to spread the word holding revivals. Terry never met a stranger and developed a connection with anyone he talked to within minutes. His life and legacy are reflected in all of the lives he touched. It’s even been said that if Terry could sit and have a conversation with Satan he’d have led him to the Lord.
He was a devoted and loving husband, Daddy, Poppa and mentor. He sure could tell a story and boy did he have stories to tell! He will be greatly missed by so many, but we Rest In Peace that passes all understanding that he’s no longer in pain and whole again walking the streets of gold. Terry was preceded in death by his father Orville Roediger, mother Garnetta Roediger, older brother Dennis Roediger and younger sister Kimberly Roediger. He leaves behind is beautiful wife of 52 years Donna Roediger daughter Teri Wilborn, daughter Kadee Allen and son in law Louis Allen, grandchildren Ashlyn Gilbert, Raymond Gilbert, Mackenzie Allen, Trey Allen, great grandchildren Adalynn Gilbert, Grayson Gilbert and Brother and Sister in laws and many nieces and nephews who he loved so much.
