

Thelma Lillian Jones was born on November 25th , 1930, to her late mother Gladys Taylor, she was the only child. Her warmth, strength, and love will forever leave a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Thelma a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and community servant passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and kindness.
Thelma and her beloved husband Jim Jones shared a remarkable union for over 60 years. Their love was built on faith, loyalty, and partnership. Together they made their home in the heart of Stop Six Texas, where they raised their family, and she showcased her love for cooking. She was also a cherished member of Saint Peter Presbyterian Church.
For many years she worked as a manager of an apartment complex on the south side of Fort Worth. A woman with a heart for people, she was a founder of the New Hope New Life Group. An organization started in July of 1975; it was rooted in her belief that everyone deserves support, encouragement, and an opportunity to build a better life. She would always say "If you're grateful you won't be hateful."
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Jones, Her mother, Gladys Taylor, and her children, Marva Jones, Wendell Jones, and Jay Jones.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Ronnie Price; grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Carol Miller, Bronza Price, Alicia Price, and Wendell Harris; great grandchildren, Anijah, Alandrea, Aiyonna, Kameron, Dionna, Brianna, Erica, and Jordan. And a host of relatives and friends.
