Thomas Wharton Haydon Jr.

Thomas W Haydon Jr. was born on February 5, 1945 and was the third child of Thomas W. Haydon Sr. and Nell Pitts Haydon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Frances, his siter Charlotte, granddaughter Alicia and great grandson Jonah-Eli Haydon. He is survived by his loving wife Susan of 41 years, son Sterling Haydon and his wife Jerri Haydon, daughter Dana Louise Huffman and her husband Jeff Huffman. Thomas had seven grandchildren, Joshua Haydon and his wife Vivianee, Kristina McDougle, Jonathan Haydon and his wife Randi, Jeremy Haydon, Kelly Peterson Jr. and his wife Whitney, Joe Thomas Huffman and Chance Huffman. He had ten great grandchildren, Gino Haydon, Gemma Haydon, Kelly Peterson III, Isaiah McDougle, Arabella McDougle, Zanoah Haydon, Zimery Haydon, Judah Haydon, Kenzie Haydon and Staley Haydon. In addition, he had three step children, Melanie Kelly, Michael Kelly and Margaret Sprague.

Tommy graduated of East Texas State University in 1992 with Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. He retired in 2005 from Lockheed Martin after 42 years of service. During his career he spent several years working in the prestigious Skunk Works as Principal Engineer and ended his career as a deputy to the Senior manager of wiring on the Joint Strike Fighter (F35). Tommy’s career earned him numerous honors and awards signifying his contributions to the company. After his retirement he started a consulting firm, Haydon Enterprises where he worked in Denmark for Terma North America and in Fort Worth for Aerospace and Commercial Technologies.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park - FW, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
