It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Victor Manuel Garza Sr., who left us on 11/26/2025 at the age of 75. He was a beloved Father, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on 5/13/1950 in Weslaco, TX, Victor Manuel Garza Sr. was the child of Arthur Zepeda Garza and Refugia Elizondo. Throughout his life, Victor Manuel Garza Sr. was known for his easy laugh, goofy noises, and his willingness to help anyone who needed it. People loved the way he talked and told stories, and he had a gift for making others feel welcome, whether he was meeting someone new or surrounded by family. A true jack of all trades, he was often out fixing his corner, working on cars, or tinkering with something around the house, always looking for a solution and never hesitating to lend a hand. Though he was not always quick to show his emotions, he was full of pride for his family and the life they built together.
He devoted his time and energy to being there for his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, and to spending time with the younger generation of family and friends who helped keep him feeling young at heart. In his younger years, he worked with lathe machines and dreamed of building furniture, and throughout his life he took great pride in his ever-growing collection of classic and modern vehicles, restoring them and keeping them road-ready. He enjoyed trying his hand at gardening and fixing up his home, playing pool, and watching cartoons. He was also known for his sharp personal style, proud of his collection of hats and his old-school slacks and button-up shirts, switching to blue jeans and a t-shirt only when he was out in the yard or under the hood of a car. In quieter moments, he loved settling in with gangster and karate movies, detective shows like Columbo, nature programs, and classic Alfred Hitchcock films.
Victor Manuel Garza Sr. is survived with deep sorrow by His siblings, Reynaldo Garza, Luis Garza, Anna Vasques, his wife, Nancy Garza, his children, Victor Garza Jr, Jennifer Crader, Vincent Garza, Stephanie Garza, his grandchildren, Damien Crader, David Crader, Diego Crader, Victor Manuel Garza III, and his great-grandchildren Deliah Crader, Cora Crader, Theo Crader, and a new great-grandbaby, and many more family and friends.
Victor Manuel Garza Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Refugia Garza, and a few of his siblings.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Victor Manuel Garza Sr.'s life on 12/3/25 at 2 pm, to be held at Chapel of Chimes, 7100 Crowley Rd. Fort Worth TX 76134.
