WATAUGA -- Wilferd "Wil" Petty, 74, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in North Richland Hills.Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Wil was born Nov. 28, 1938, in Hornick, Iowa, to Ival and Elma Petty. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a tech sergeant. He was loved by many, but will be forgotten by none.
Survivors: wife, Kaye Petty; children, Christopher Petty, Sarah Petty, Dominic Petty and Anthony Petty; sister, Leota Erickson; brother, Rex Petty; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
