

Memorial services will be at St. Luke's in the Meadow per his wishes, 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010.
He was born February 23, 1948 in Fort Worth at All Saints Hospital. He was the son of Mildred Heilman McQuitty and William Heilman and stepson of Howard McQuitty. He was named after his grandfather, the late Very Reverend Canon William Charles Heilman of New Jersey. William (Bill) started working at the Star Telegram and was fond of the newspaper industry. William was a loving husband and had a lot of love for his family. William was fond of debating politics especially with Dr. Patel. He enjoyed computers, chess, science fiction, bingo, his family and talking with other people.
He was preceded in death by his mother, fathers, older sister Lillian and her daughter Christy, and brother-in-law Billy Churchwell. His mother-in-law who thought the world of him.
William is survived by his wife Carla; his three daughters, Carrie, Jennifer, Hollie; and son, Billy. He also leaves behind a granddaughter Ariel who he adored and eight other adored grandchildren and various nieces and nephews. Other survivors are his sisters, Laurie McGregor and her sons, Jan and husband Ray Schiltz and their two sons and two daughters; he had two stepbrothers, Holly and Mike McQuitty.
The family wishes to thank all the Hospitals, Doctors, and Nurses for all their care during his battle with cancer.
