Bill was born to William Roy Humble Jr. (Dub), and Ethel Dean McFarland (Deanie) in Fort Worth on May 2, 1941. On April 24, 1965 He married Ann McClane. They had two sons, Bud and Darin. Bill worked as a machinist before starting his own engraving service. After moving out of the city he became an avid gardener. Eventually he and Ann drifted apart and they divorced. Forsaking gardening he took up brewing beer as a hobby, which he enjoyed for some time. He also learned to dance and became quite good at it, even participating in numerous competitions. During this time he met Jeanne Carter. They later married and moved to Killeen. Together they honed their card playing skills before going their separate ways in 2010. In December of 2010 Bill moved to Legacy in Fort Worth with a determination to start fresh with a positive outlook. There he made many friends upon who he inflicted his card playing skills and humor. He was active in the community and within the church and held true to his determination to keep a positive outlook. He was happy there with his many good friends and thankful he had been led there. Bill liked a good beer. His chap stick was never far away, and after meals he liked to have a toothpick handy. He enjoyed a fun game of cards with friends and family. He always wished he had a chance to live in Alaska, watching every show about the state he could find. Like a good scotch, he only got better with age.
He is succeeded by his sons, William Roy Humble IV (Bud) and Darin Thomas Humble, by his brother Larry Glenn Humble, by his sister Sue Constantine, and by good friends too numerous to mention.
In 2015 his sons plan to take his ashes to Alaska.
