A Gift from God…
It was on November 19, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas, when Richard and Lillie Masterson welcomed the arrival of their fourth child and named him William Andrew Masterson (nicknamed: Rusty).
William received his formal education from Eastern Hills High School, Fort Worth, TX. After completing his high school education, he became employed at John Peter Smith hospital. He worked in environmental services for four years, then transferred into behavioral health as a behavioral health technician. His work history consists of over 36 years caring for others.
On Sunday, March 17, 2024, Rusty said goodbye to us all here and is now in his eternal home. On April 2, 2023, during a telephone call with his sister Carla, he asked her to share God’s “plan of salvation” with him and he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. During his life, Rusty was caring and generous to those he worked with and who were in need. He developed lasting friendships and was truly loved by many.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lillie Masterson, and various aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Those left to cherish his precious memories and legacy are his sister and brother: Carla D. Johnson (Paul), Richard G. Masterson, Jr. (Christina); nieces: Lakiesha Scott (Jason), Kylah Masterson; nephews: Paul Johnson, Jr., Corey Johnson, Richard Masterson; cousins: Elijah Owen, Angela McNeal, Janis Mortinsen, - Kalani and Jayla Scott
- Aunts: Linda Sue Carlis (Elder Lawrence), Diane Masterson
- Daughter Jori Dawn Cunningham and friend Dierdre Cunningham – he claimed and did a lot for Jonathan and the kids.
