William Mayes Robinzine

Mr. William Mayese Robinzine was born on November 29, 1943 in Summit, Mississippi to the late Wallace Robinzine Sr. and Bertha Bonds Williams. He is third of five siblings. William’s family later moved to Texas and resided in Fort Worth. William attended Ft. Worth ISD schools and graduated from I. M. Terrel High School in 1962. He was an excellent student in school and enjoyed learning new things. While in high school, he was an extraordinary athlete in basketball. His talent led him to college at Hardin-Simmons University. At HSU, he played basketball and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. He served his country in the Army from 1968-1970. After his service in the Army, William began working in education as teacher with Fort Worth ISD.

He enjoyed relaxing outside, talking about sports and visiting with family. William and his brother, Wallace Jr. often enjoyed visiting with one another. He talked about San Antonio, TX being his favorite place to visit. He liked the landscape and scenery of that city.

William was united in marriage to Marcelle Rayford in 1968. To this union, three children were born. William Wayne Robinzine, Sherandee Rena Robinzine and Monica Denise Robinzine. He was a strong-willed father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He believed and wanted his children to work hard, get a good education and to be strong individuals.

William Mayese Robinzine, age 77, departed this life on the morning of Friday, August 20, 2021. He was called to his heavenly home at his residence in Fort Worth, Texas. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, siblings and a host of nieces and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his three children William Wayne and Sherandee Robinzine of Abilene, TX; Monica Robinzine of Denton, TX; his brother Wallace Jr (Marshann) Robinzine of Forest Hill, TX; two sisters Dianne Rockwell and Sandra Holmes of Fort Worth, TX. Two grandchildren Brittany Washington of Shelbyville, TN and William Robinzine Jr. of Houston, TX. Three great-grandchildren of Shelbyville, TN.

William is proceeded in death by his parents Wallace Robinzine Sr. and Bertha Bonds Williams. One brother, Hilton Robinzine.
