Hannibal, Missouri.
Joyce graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro,
Missouri. Her father was a pastor in churches in Missouri and Oklahoma.
Joyce's family moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 1949 so that Joyce could attend
Oklahoma Baptist University. She studied music and piano.
While at OBU, Joyce met and married the love of her life, Lee White in 1951. They
were married for 67 wonderful years. She and her husband, Lee, raised their family
in Burleson, Texas. Music was a significant part of Joyce's life. She played the piano
for many of the churches she attended, taught children's choirs, and gave private
piano lessons in her home.
Joyce also served along beside Lee for many years in many churches building strong
Royal Ambassor programs, teaching your boys about missions. Missions was
always close to Joyce's heart. Helping others fulfill the Great Commission was a joy
and passion for her.
She loved and cared about people. Even in her later years at her assisted living
home, she always knew the worker's names and something about them. She would
encourage and pray for them.
Joyce is preceded in death by husband, Lee White; son, Grady Lee White.
