

On Sunday November 2, 2025 the Master quietly and peacefully, called home His faithful servant, Zebedee “James” Moore, releasing him from his earthly assignment to his heavenly reward.
Zebedee Moore was born to the late Rodgers and Minnie Moore in Greenville, North Carolina where he was the 8th of 10 children. Zebedee attended public schools in Greenville, North Carolina, where he graduated from C. M. Epps High School in 1954. After high school, Zebedee joined the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years his retirement.
While in the military he met the love of his life, Golder Faye Clark, and together they shared 65 years of love and partnership. To this union they were blessed with three children, Perry, Darryll, and Gwendolyn. Following his retirement from the Air Force, Zebedee then started his career with the United States Postal Service as a postal carrier. While working with the post office, he decided to obtained his Associate of Arts Degree from Tarrant County Community College in 1980.
Zebedee united with Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church in the Spring of 1970 under the leadership of Reverend W.G. Daniels, where he was a faithful Sunday worshipper and church supporter.
Zebedee was affectionately known as “James” or “James-Mo’”. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, playing billiards, working on antique cars, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rodgers and Minnie Moore, his brothers Mandaris Moore, Emmanuel Moore, and James Obie Moore, and sisters Reatha Little, Rosa Mae Hamilton, Adele Smith and Acolia Simon-Thomas.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His beloved wife of 65 years Golder Moore, sisters Dr. Eleanor Maxine Ankrah of Uganda, Africa and Geraldine Walters of Greenville, North Carolina, sons Perry Rodger Moore of Fort Worth, Texas, Darryll Moore (Michelle) of Fort Worth, Texas, daughters Gwendolyn Moore-Taylor (Vance) of Midland, Texas, Shelia Latham of Greenville, North Carolina, Regina Pinchback of Fort Worth, Texas and Christy Scott of Atlanta, GA.
He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Nicole Moore of Fort Worth, Texas, Bradley Taylor (Mariah) of Nashville, Tennessee, Desirea’ Moore-Mathews (Jeromy) of Fort Worth, Texas, Erica Moore of Fort Worth, Texas, Avery Caliman-Moore (Breana) of Fort Worth, Texas, Pershon Moore of Rialto, California, Zachary Taylor (Jasmine) of Odessa, Texas, Zaria Moore of Fort Worth, Texas, Rachel Livingston, Ashley Livingston, and Jordan Livingston all of Fort Worth, Texas. He leaves nine beautiful great grandchildren, his beloved dog “Molly-Ann”, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host other relatives and friend
