Bernardina Pagan Marrero, 79, of Framingham, passed away April 30, 2017, after an extended illness. Born November 22, 1937 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to the late Lucas Pagan- Pagan and Maria Marrero- Rodriguez, she resided in Canovanas, Puerto Rico before moving to the United States in the late 1980’s. Ms. Pagan-Marrero worked for many years as a school cafeteria aide before her retirement. Bernardina was a servant of the lord, a parishioner of the Pentecostal "Remanente de Dios" church in Framingham. Church and family were most important in her life. She was preceded in death by three sons, Angel, Rolando and Carlos Velez, and is survived by a son, Rafael Velez, of Pawtucket RI, a daughter Sandra Velez, seven grandchildren (Jarelis, Jose, Samuel, Rolando, Carlos, Tatiana and Rafael Jr.) and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, May 5, at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove St, Framingham, MA. Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 4, from 3-10 pm at MetroWest Funeral and Cremation Service -Wadsworth-Chiappini, 318 Union Ave, Framingham, MA.
