.NORTHBRIDGE- John Ramsey, age 55, passed away suddenly due to complications in surgery on December, 6, 2010. He was educated at Framingham North High School, and later served his country as a member of the US Army. In recent years, he worked as a mechanic at Brother’s Auto Repair in Hopkinton, MA. He had a passion for bluegrass music and enjoyed restoring antique tractors.
The son of the late Willie B. and Jeanette J. (Long) Ramsey, he is survived by his daughter, Jane C. Ramsey, who is currently studying at Smith College, and also by his siblings Cathi Willis of Medway, Mikle Ramsey of Anthoni, FL, Ronnie Ramsey of Attleboro, Susan Wirrell of Milford, Sandra Amour of Milford, Dennis Ramsey of Ocala, FL, and Robert Ramsey of Milford. He is preceded in death by his brother Willie Lloyd and his sister Carol Jean Tripp.
Funeral services at the Metrowest Funeral and Cremation Service of Wadsworth – Chiappini, 318 Union Ave., Framingham Fri. Dec. 10 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home, Thurs. Dec. 9, 5 – 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Jane C.
