Patricia Nelson

Nelson, Patricia Joy, 64 of Framingham died Thursday July 25. Born in Painesville, OH, Pat was the daughter of Joyce B. (Brunner) and the late Richard D. Nelson. She is survived by her devoted partner Joanne Meyer and her beloved son Gregory F. Meyer. Pat was also the sister of Cindy Namestnik and her husband Ken of Leroy, OH; Donna Marple and her husband Rick of San Antonio, TX; Jim Nelson and his wife Missy of Houston, TX; Jon Nelson and his wife Faith of Montoursville, PA; and Jane Crosby and her husband Rick of Katy, TX. She was the favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Pat spent her early years in northeastern Ohio, graduating from Harvey High School (Painesville) in 1966 and Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing (Warren) in 1969. Pat’s love of water and sun took her to Miami in the ‘70’s, where she enjoyed nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital. In 1976, Pat’s wanderlust brought her to Massachusetts, where she spent time on Cape Cod and finally settled in the Boston area. Pat enjoyed a dual career of nursing and real estate sales for many years. Pat’s humor, candor, and common sense were appreciated by a wide range of friends, family, and co-workers. These characteristics served her well as she battled lung cancer for two years. She will be greatly missed.
