Eura Mae Gunner-Williams

Eura Mae "Mutt" Gunner-Williams, a native of Bayou Sale, Louisiana and a resident of Verdunville, Louisiana, was born on September 1, 1932, and transitioned peacefully surrounded by family on January 18, 2026, at the age of 93.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Nazarene Baptist Church 7416 Highway 182 Franklin (Verdunville), Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons, Ralph (Cheryl) McKinley Williams, Sr. of Sun City, Arizona and Russell (Nicky Davis) James Gunner of Verdunville, Louisiana; two daughters, Terry Ann (Earl, Sr.) Williams Thomas of New Iberia, Louisiana and Vicky Lynn Williams-Burrell of Verdunville, Louisiana; a sister-in-law, Joanna Benjamin of New Orleans, Louisiana; thirty grandchildren with two bonus grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren plus three bonus great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren plus four bonus great great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Eura Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Lucinda Gunner; four brothers, Jeff Gunner, Sr., Eric Gunner, Sr., Wilbert Gunner, and Levi Gunner, Sr.; seven sisters, Hazel Gunner Cage, Daisy Gunner, Mariah Gunner Matthews, Dorothy Gunner Sibley, Atlene Gunner Campbell, Carrie Bell Gunner Chatman, and Claudia Dell Gunner; one son-in-law, Jerome Burrell; and three grandchildren, Stacy Chenette Burrell, Rhent Micah Thomas, and Russell Gunner, Jr..
