Hilliard Butler

Hilliard Butler transitioned peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on February 6, 1940, and was a resident of Patterson, Louisiana who is a lifelong native and resident of Verdunville, Louisiana.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his fiance', Elaine Sandolph of Boutte, Louisiana; his daughter, Alicia Butler of Patterson, Louisiana; a daughter-in-law, Nicole Butler of St. Martinville, Louisiana; two brothers, Floyd (Yolanda) Butler of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Lloyd (Lorenza) Butler, Sr. of Franklin, Louisiana; his sister-in-law, Lillian Butler of Verdunville, Louisiana; his godchild, Crystal Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.

Hilliard was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Butler, Sr. and Cecil Butler; his wife, Lillie N. Butler; son, Lawrence Butler, Sr.; his daughter, Mary Alice Sandolph; six brothers, Leroy Butler, Sr., Johnny Butler, William Butler, Henry Butler, Jr., Joseph Butler, Sr., and Paul Butler; sisters, Lucille Garrette and Wanda Lee; and a godchild, Cynthia Linton.
