Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin. Burial will follow at Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 25 years, Judy Hunt-Fontenet of Franklin, Louisiana; two sons, Zachary (Lyndsay) Hunt of Youngsville, Louisiana and Malcolm (Ashleigh) Hunt of Humble, Texas; his daughter, Eryn Fontenet and her fiance, Broderick Ceaser of Diamondhead, Mississippi; his sister, Edith (Billy) Brown of Laplace, Louisiana; nine grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Eura Dell Fontenet; a uncle, Chester Gibson; and his aunt, Laura Gibson.
