Hilda E. Boyles

Hilda was born on June 27, 1920 in Liberty, New York, the daughter of the late George and Rosa (Knickerbocker) Marshall. She was married to Wayne E Boyles, who predeceased her on November 8, 1998.

As a homemaker, Hilda shared the duties of operating the farm with her family. In her younger years, Hilda was an accomplished horseback rider.

Hilda is survived by her children and their spouses, George and Karen Lewis of Elko, Nevada, Robert and Jane Lewis of Mt. Vision, Donna and George Edwards of Franklin, Wayne and Evelyn Boyles, Jr. of Franklin, Leon Boyles of Franklin and Kathy and Mike Gracey of Hamden.

She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren and 72 great and great great grandchildren.

Hilda was predeceased by her daughter, Rosa Lewis; her son, Charles Lewis and her siblings, Daisy Houghtaling, Carl Marshall and Ken Marshall.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Hilda’s family wishes to give a special thank you to Jack Early, the Franklin Emergency Squad, the Catskill Area Hospice and the staff at the Countryside Care Center.
