Alice I. King, age 89, of Middletown, passed away unexpectantly Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Doverwood Village. She was born July 5, 1924 in Zoe, KY the daughter of Whitney and Lula Shoemaker Ratliff. She grew up in Zoe, KY and later settled in Middletown, OH. She worked at various jobs in her lifetime, was an excellent cook, enjoyed travel, and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey King in 1997; and seven siblings. She is survived by daughters, Sherry King and Deborah Larry Webb; one granddaughter, Heather Ross; and one great granddaughter, Zoe Ross. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home.
