Amanda Rupe Sargent

Amanda Jane Rupe Sargent, age 98 of Middletown passed away peacefully at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties on Thursday, April 2, 2015. She was born October 18, 1916 to the late F. G. and Mary Lou Powell in Xenia, Kentucky. Also preceding her in death were her four brothers, Shirley, Garnet, James, and Obed Powell; first husband Boyd Rupe; and second husband Clyde Sargent. She leaves behind her two daughters, Glenda Bruce Peters, Lana Tim Ernst; stepson, Gary Pam Sargent; and grandchildren, Marty Peters, Bruce Holly Peters, Jennifer Jane RJ Burns, Madeleine Dan Rossetti, Patrick Leah Harner, William Mandi Harner, and Katherine Harner; great-grandchildren, Samantha Peters, Erica Peters, Amanda Jane and Ashlynn Rossetti, Brielle Harner, Paisley, Anabel, and Savannah Harner. Jane enjoyed quilting, cooking especially chicken and dumplings for her family, working in her flower beds, and current events. She loved to laugh, dance, and sing. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother has now taken God's hand and is home. A viewing at 9:30 am, followed by a service officiated by Pastor Jeff Raker will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4 at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home in Middletown.
