Anna Pearl McClanahan, aka "Nana", age 88, died February 3, 2018 peacefully at her home in Jamestown, TN, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 19, 1929 in Frenchburg, KY and lived most of her life in Middletown, OH. She was employed for 25 years at the Monsanto Co., Miamisburg, OH, until her retirement in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Myrtle Thompson; husband, Jack McClanahan; sister, Wanda Lynch. Survivors include sister, Betty DeBord of Florida; daughter, Brenda Griffey of Middletown; three grandchildren, Scott (Carole) Leonard, Jr., Shawna (Tom) Gifford, and Holli (Mark) Sneed; ten great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Woodside Cemetery, Section 6 with Pastor Chuck Cotton, of Calvary Baptist Church, Middletown officiating.
