Barbara Quimby Boal

Barbara Quimby Boal, age 86, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at her home. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 1, 1932 to the late Oscar and Marguerite (Shirk) Quimby.

She was employed with Miami Valley Hospital from which she retired in 1982. Barbara was also employed with a doctors office, home care and visits and was a substitute teacher. She was a member of the Village Singers for its entire history. Barbara enjoyed playing golf and she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Boal and brother, David Quimby.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Boal; son, Michael (Kim) Boal; 5 grandchildren, Sean, Brittany (Landon), Meghan (Corey), Chelsea, Jordan (Michelle); 5 great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kaelyn, Jada, Wyatt, Karter; sister, Cina Barker; two sister in laws, Jane Quimby and Marilyn Roush.

Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio, 45005. Memorial services will be at 1:00pm also at the funeral home with Jerry Minor officiating. Inurnment will be in Butler County Memorial Park following Services.
