Barbara Carpenter

Barbara Carpenter, age 81, of Carlisle, OH; went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2026 at her home in Carlisle. Barbara was born in Dayton, OH on September 20, 1944 to the late Roy and Beulah (Griffin) Singleton. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Barbara was a faithful member of the Bethel Holiness Church in Carlisle for the past three years. She was employed with Chick-Fil-A at the Dayton Mall for fifteen years, she enjoyed cooking and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara is survived her husband of 63 years, Merrill Carpenter; her two daughters, Sherri (Brian) Fox, Patty (Doug) Henson; her grandchildren, Aaron (Tara) Fox, Adam Fox, Andrew Fox, Alison (Joshua) Burns, Alaina (D.J.) Fordyce, Jeremy (Meghan) Henson, Kyle (Riquel) Henson, Blake (Kelly) Henson, Travis (Bekah) Henson; twenty-seven great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Etta Houston, Clarence Singleton, Clifford Singleton, Harold Singleton, Charlie Singleton, Sharon Langdon and Linda McCuston.

Barbara will be loved and missed by all.

Funeral Services are 1pm Friday April 17, 2026 at the Bethel Holiness Church in Carlisle, OH with Pastor Jamie Cagg, Preacher Travis Henson, Preacher D.J. Fordyce, Pastor Blake Henson and Preacher Jeremy Henson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11am to 1pm at the church.
