Betty Leigh Walter, age 87, of Middletown, died Saturday, July 7, 2012. She was born March 30, 1925 in Middletown, the daughter of Dewey Graham Cash and Alice Phipps Cash. Betty liked to cook and enjoyed taking care of her roses in her garden. She loved watching Red's baseball. Betty retired from the Butler County Tuberculosis Clinic. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Eric Falk of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Joan Ray Peterson of Middletown; one granddaughter, Sarah Peterson of Cincinnati; one step granddaughter, Shelley Jeff Walker of Fort Worth, Texas; and two step great grandchildren, Sam and Kate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marvin Walter in 2009 and a sister, Dora Cash. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2:00 PM with Reverend Norman Coleman officiating.
