I was a year below cheese. I did not have the pleasure of getting to know him very well, but I only ever heard nice things about him and he was liked by everyone who knew him. Very sorry for your loss.

What has comforted me most when I needed it was Bible verses like: John 5:28; Mark 5:41, 42 and Revelation 21:4. Maybe they can help you to cope too. I hope so.

I worked with Brett at Genco. I will miss him singing at the top of his lungs while sweeping the floors, always smiling and telling jokes, and being such a friendly guy around here. Brett had one of the best senses of humor ever. He kept telling me he was going to crash my wedding in October and photobomb all the pictures and cut my cake before I could. He was always making me and my team laugh. I will for sure miss telling him to leave my department and to stop hiding back there so he didn't have to sweep the floors haha. It is so sad to see someone so young and full of life leave this world. You simply have not even begun to live yet at such a young age. The problem with life isn't so much that it is temporary but that it is so much shorter for some and it could be gone in a flash with no warning. Brett will be missed dearly and I hope everyone cherishes the memories they have with him forever.

Barry & Peggy, you are in our prayers. Brett was loved by so many people, he definitely brightened alot of peoples' days. It is hard to lose someone so young and full of life. Please know you are in our thoughts daily.

Sorry for the Richter Family's loss - RIP Brett.

Brett was such a joy to know. I have so many great memories of him from High School at Monroe and recently when he worked with my husband at Speedway. He was always so kind to everyone and had the greatest personality I have ever encountered. We are all left here with heavy hearts but I know for certain that Brett is in the light of God. I didn't know Brett personally all too well. However, we did attend school together and I was at almost all his home games. I knew him but I doubt he knew me. None of that matters though. What matters is that because I knew him I want to offer my deepest condolences to the Richter family. Brett was an amazing gentleman with a bright future and he will be deeply missed by many.
