

Burl Wilson Jr., age 82 of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. Burl was born in Bath County, KY on October 12, 1933 to the late Burl, Sr. and Stella Wilson.
Burl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved to Middletown in the 1950's to work at Middletown Ice & Coal. There, he met Shirley, and they were married on Oct. 30, 1953. Burl worked as an over the road truck driver for Matlack and Rogers Carthage, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and traveled the country with Shirley. Burl had a great sense of humor and was known for his funny jokes. He will be dearly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Wilson. Burl will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Wilson; children, Debbie (Jeff) Walters, Larry (Kathy) Wilson, Cindy (Darrell) Banks, & Steven Wilson; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Casey (Nicole) Wilson, Brooke Wilson, Bridgette Wilson, Zach Banks; great-grandchildren, Travis & Mikala Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street Middletown, OH with Celebrant Dan Flory officiating. Burial in Woodside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
