Carl Raymond Porter

Carl Raymond Porter, age 79, of Springboro, OH, died Thursday May 12, 2016 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on August 11, 1936 to Ernest and Alpha (Elliott) Porter. Carl served in the U.S. Army from 1958 - 1961 and treasured his grandchildren. He worked at his golf game up to and including the day he died. He was employed with General Motors, Inland Division for 26 years and retired in 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Porter, his mother Alpha Porter; brother, Cecil H. Porter. Carl is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenna M. (Green) Porter; son, C. Douglas (Kristi) Porter; daughter, Diana Christy; three granddaughters, Kelsey K. Porter, Grace Porter, Sara Christy; two grandsons, Grant Porter, Benjamin Christy; brother, Samuel L. Porter; two sisters, Nancy Kirk, Bonnie Schul. Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Homes 40 North Main Street Springboro, OH with Mr. Brian Koch officiating.
