Charles Barton

Charles William Barton, age 90, of Middletown, died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born July 18, 1921, in Middletown, the son of Charles G. Barton and Norma Braun Barton. Charles graduated from The Ohio State University and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He retired as an Account Executive from Top Value Enterprises. Charles enjoyed family and friends, and especially summer vacations in Canada. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marcia Heiser Barton; one daughter, Lynne husband, Bill Dowling of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Charles H. wife, Kristi Barton of Middletown, David W. wife, Maria Barton of Indian River, Michigan; four grandchildren, Erin, Hilary, Emily, Cassie; and one great grandson, Connor. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
