Charles Richard Cox, age 53, of Franklin, Ohio, died Sunday January 3, 2016 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 29, 1962 to Woodrow and Shirley Cox. He was employed with Dayton Daily News for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Cox, mother, Shirley Cox, and sister, Sandra Cox. Charles is survived by his two sons, Charles Cox and Ryan McGhee; five brothers, Willie Ray (Lynn) Cox, Vernon Cox, Norman (Liza) Cox, John (Willa) Cox, Doug Cox; sister, Ella Mae Krause; numerous nieces and nephews and his significant other, Karen McGhee. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Roberts Drive Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jimmy Jewel officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
