

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Agnes Stewart, and his sister, Thelma Rose of Pound, VA.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Bobbie Jo Gibson Stewart, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. He is also survived by his son, Mike Stewart Sr. and wife Karen; his grandson, Mike Jr.; his daughter, Michaela Stewart and soulmate Leo Martinez; his granddaughters, Bobby Joe Stewart Velez and husband Eddie Velez, Maggie Stewart Davis and husband Aaron Davis, and Eliza Jane Stewart and fiancé Lui Gutierrez; as well as his great-granddaughter, Madison Velez.
Charles is further survived by his brother, James Stewart, and his sisters, Betty Ryan, Ella Cantrell (Kenneth), Jeannie Rose (Walter), Shirley Stanley, and Mildred Tackett (Hibert). He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A dedicated member of Lighthouse Baptist Temple in Franklin, Charles deeply valued his work with the church community. He was a proud Army veteran and often reminisced about his military service, sharing fond memories of the many adventures he and his wife experienced during their time in the Army.
Charles retired after a successful career as an Autobody Frame Mechanic, where he formed lasting friendships and told colorful, unforgettable stories. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and tending to his beloved garden, which brought him great joy.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew him. However, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who take comfort in the cherished memories they hold dear.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Anderson Funeral Home- Franklin Chapel, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Elmo Johnson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at The Butler County Memorial Park in Trenton, Ohio. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday.
