Dear Peggy, we feel so awful for what you and Dennis had to endure.  We will miss him, for sure.  He loved to tease us and make us laugh.  Being your neighbors in Las Vegas is a real treat.  Your dogs and ours are all melded together in a big large family over the years and Dennis loved them all.  We had many, many good laughs and talks too.  Rest in peace our good friend.

I remember walking into the Circlevlle First Baptist Church on a Friday after work.  Dennis, David, Mable and Debbie made me feel so welcome.  Dennis invited me and my family to Sunday morning services.  We attended, enjoy it very much.  We returned that night for services.  It was the board mtg night. Lol
We were glad to have been because we got to learn more about the church and the congregation.  Their thoughts, plans and ideas for upcoming events, beliefs and outreach.  Later when the mtg was over, Dennis came and apologized for it not being a usual evening service. We explained to him that we loved it!  I know it had to be before the next Sunday service Dennis and Peggy gretted us at our home and it felt like we had known them both forever.  I will always remember his beautiful smile, his rocking up on his toes during the invitation and his love for each and every person who stepped through the church doors.  "God is good all the time, all the time God is good."  Thank you, Dennis for following the call of Jesus.  Thank you, Peggy for praying for Dennis everyday.  Sometimes it takes a strong women of faith to lead her spouse to our Father.  Loving you both.

Dennis was one of my pastors early in my life.  I had, and still have, great respect for him because he was a man of God and sharing the Gospel was his main goal in life.  He lived for Jesus.  I always valued his input and continue to cherish the words of wisdom that he spoke into my life.  I often find myself sharing "Dennisisms" that I picked up from this pastor throughout my own years of teaching the Word and engaging in Gospel conversations with others.  I know Dennis is home with Jesus and that we will see him again someday.   

Peggy, the service was a wonderful tribute to Dennis’ life. We so wish we could have been there in person. We will always remember Dennis for his humor and his smile but most importantly his love for the Lord and you. We will be praying for you and don’t hesitate to reach out to us if we can help you in any way.  We love you. 

We met Dennis in1996 when we started at Circleville First Baptist church.  He was a great Pastor, but better than that, he was a great friend, teacher, mentor and a part of our family.  He helped Dean and I through some stuff times, but he was always available to us.
Him and Peggy have always been special to us.  Dennis was very encouraging to me and he respected me and was a good cheerleader.
We are deeply saddened at his leaving us in this life, but I am sure he will be there waiting for us all in Heaven with a welcome home hug!

Well  today has finally arrived and I have much sadness in my heart, but I know you are in a better place and have seen the face of GOD, There are just to many memories so I will just keep childhood thoughts to myself and with Linda. I will not say goodbye but I'll see you one day,

My fondest memory of Butch was how eloquently he spoke at my Mothers funeral in Jackson, February 1982. His words were tender and filled with love for her and our family. What a gift he was to us all.

I am so very sorry for loss. You & Dennis were a big part of my middle school and high school years at First Baptist Church of Circleville, Ohio. Please accept my family's deepest condolences. We will be keeping you in our prayers.

Peggy, I’m so sorry for your loss.  I know how hard it is to loose your “mate for life” .  The good news is that we know he is no longer suffering and we know he led a good life, a blessed life and is now in heaven with Jesus.  How  blessed are we who have a great husband and partner in life that God allows us to have for many years.   May God bless you and comfort you during your time of mourning.



I worked with Dennis at the Circleville First Baptist Church for 10 years. He was definitely a people-person, enjoying telling them about the love of Jesus!
 He told me when I was first hired as the church secretary, that no matter what he was doing, if Peggy called, he'd take her phone call.  He loved her very much!
He will be missed by many!

Dennis always added humor to any conversations whether it was in small groups or from the pulpit.  We wish he was here but heavens gates opened and this great Christian man walked through with a smile and probably a joke. We love you Peggy and may you have peace knowing he has entered into his eternal resting place.

Dennis was a good friend when I came to North Las Vegas Baptist church.  He made me feel welcome and always had a joke every time he would fellowship with us and he sometimes joined us for Dining out. Really going to miss him and his wonderful smile.
  

Dennis was my pastor and neighbor for many years. When I would talk to him about anything I was worried about he would always say “God will take care of it .“I remember his laugh and positive attitude.    My sincere condolences go to Brenda (his wonderful sister) and to Peggy, his great wife. I love and miss you.

We met Dennis and Peggy Back through our small church,  North Las Vegas Baptist, several years ago. Dennis was so friendly, funny, and easy to talk to, he became a friend to our congregation and a friend to us. I loved hearing his testimony and how dedicated he was to the Lord. We loved hearing him preach when our pastor was absent, hearing stories about his experiences in churches he pastored other places. Dennis was just one of a kind. He often gave us what he called "Dennis-isms" during his sermons, I started writing them down and I still smile when I see them in my Bible.  We will miss him so much, but we know he's in the presence of God, which is where we'll find him again. Love to Peggy, praying for peace for you...The Willeys, Jay and Carolyn

We came to know Dennis through friends at South Hills Baptist Church. Dennis was an obedient servant of the Lord Most High, and his obedience to the prompting of the Lord one evening saved our marriage. And now, after  46 years of marriage, we are so grateful for his obedience to the call of Christ in his life. 
We got to know Peggy and Dennis not only as our pastors  but also as dear friends. We will never forget our trip to Texas for the Southern Baptist Convention in the late ‘70s - what a fun road trip! We talked and laughed the entire trip; Dennis was such a jokester! He was always quick-witted. He used to say to Wayne, “You’re looking good... you’re not good-looking, but you’re looking good!” He’s probably entertaining the angels right now with his crazy sense of humor! 
We grieve at the loss of such a wonderful man of God, but we also rejoice with the angels in Heaven, knowing that Dennis has finally met his Savior face to face. Praying for the peace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ to comfort family and friends through this time of loss.  

Dennis and Peggy were our pastor and Pastors wife at Eastview Baptist in 1982 when my girlfriend Kristi and I started going to church together. Peggy led my girlfriend to Christ on July 4, 1982. Dennis married Kristi and I on October 4, 1984. He used to call me ‘liver lips’ and was always in a good mood
I surely can’t think of him being gone but I know where he is. I was never a perfect man  but Dennis and Peggy always made us feel like family. I pray now for Peggy, she’s a great lady. God bless all of the family.

Sending condolences for Dennis's passing. Dennis was a great neighbor who always had a smile and a wave.  We enjoyed Christmas open house he and Peggy hosted to round up the community to celebrate Christmas.  
Dennis will be missed by many neighbors here in Bradley Ranch. 

Dennis was my pastor and friend at Circleville First Baptist Church. He was always trying new things  for our church. He brought in quality music groups and programs. My favorite picture of him was during Western Day. We had the church all decked out in a western theme. He had his western clothes on and a cowboy hat. We had a saddle on display on stage and I asked him to pose for a picture. I loved his  humor! Bob, Kyle Shank, and Dennis would trade jokes almost every Sunday morning. Most of all Dennis loved the Lord and he spent his life sharing his testimony to others. The Lord accepted Dennis home with well done good and faithful servant.

Dennis was my Pastor at 1st Baptist Church in Circleville Oh for five years and I never met a man I ever trusted more than Dennis! I stopped in on a regular basis just to talk and he always called me back to his office saying “ Hey easy money “ then we’d talk old rock music! I’m saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers to Peggy and family! God bless this good man!
