Douglas Wright

Douglas Wayne Wright, age 69, of Carlisle, OH; went home to be with the Lord on Friday February 24, 2012 at Kettering Medical Center. Douglas was born in Blue Diamond, Ky on October 29, 1942 to Noah Eldon and Adeline (Smith) Wright. He retired from AK Steel in 1992, formerly served as a deacon at Riverview Baptist Church of Franklin, OH, he served on the Carlisle Personnel Review Board, was a coach and former director of the Carlisle Pee Wee Football Association from 1979 to 1992. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Skye Canaan Ricketts, 3 brothers and 1 sister Eldon Wright, Clara Wright Hurt, William Wright and Hargis Wright. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Paulette (Smith) Wright; children Donna Wright Ricketts and husband Jerry of Hazel Green, KY, Wesley Joseph Wright and wife Amy of Somerville, OH, Shelley Lynn Saylor of Carlisle, OH, and Shannon Gwynn Anders and husband Archie of Carlisle, OH; 9 grandchildren Cory Gwynndolynn Ricketts, Douglas Willard Paul Ricketts, Rami Christine Betts, Holly Elizabeth Wright, Alexander Matthew Hollon, Alexandra Marie Wright, Steven Andrew Saylor, Victoria Christine Wright, and William Jeffrey Anders; 5 brothers and sisters Pauline (Wright) Burwick, George D. Wright, Linda (Wright) Blair, Mary Ann Wilson, and Jo Carol Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday March 3, 2012 at 10am at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Bro. Larry Lambes. Burial will be at Germantown Cemetery.
