Edward Richards

Edward Franklin Richards, 91, born April 14, 1920 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday April 28, 2011. He was a deacon of the Mission Lane Baptist Church for 40 years. He served in the army during WW II as a medic based out of Camp David, North Carolina. He retired from DP&L after 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents William Jacob and Hattie Jane Richards, three sisters, four brothers and one special niece. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rachel, one sister-in-law Hazel Seals of Germantown, one brother-in-law Don Trent of Springfield, four nieces and nephews he help raise, Jeanie, Cheryl, Willie, Becky, and one great nephew Eddie and many other nieces and nephews. He will always be loved and greatly missed. Funeral services are Monday May 2, 2011 at 10am at Mission lane Baptist Church 420 Mission Ln Franklin, OH with Rev. David Sargent officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6pm at the church. Please visit www.anderson-fh.com to send an on line condolence.
