It is with a sad and heavy heart to announce the passing of a loving sister, mom, friend, believer. Ellen J. Bicknell, age 53, graduate of Franklin High School, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Grandview Hospital. She was born August 28, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Rev. James R. Bicknell and Joyce F. Bicknell, both of Franklin. Along with her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by her sister, Belinda Ann Bicknell. She is survived by her sisters, Melanie Bicknell, Danielle Bicknell; brothers, Roger Bicknell, Jerry Bicknell; three children, Latisha (Wayne) Terry, Willie (Mollie) Bicknell, Crickett (Kyle) Conatser; two granddaughters, Makenna Bicknell, Zoey Conatser; two nieces, Tina (Jason) Hillard, Theresa (Troy) Dague; and a host of family and friends. With Ellen, the glass was always half full, the word "can't" didn't exist and love was her breath of life, singing as high as the angels. She loved with her whole heart and taught her siblings and children to do the same. Always putting others before herself, Ellen was the positive light that continues to shine through us all. Thank you for the spiritual foundation we have built our houses upon. We will see you again, sis, at that "meeting in the air". Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at House of Prayer, 728 Forest Ave, Franklin, OH, and will continue throughout the night. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11:00 am, also at House of Prayer, with Pastor Sammy Reed officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
