

Ruth Evelyn Morris, age 86, of Franklin, Ohio; died Monday August 24, 2020 at Hillspring Nursing Home. Evelyn was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 21, 1934 to the late George and Vesta (Boggs) Leadingham. Evelyn was a godly woman whose heart was always in serving others. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Franklin for 50 years. She was a member of the UMW and volunteered in many ministries. She held very fond memories of her mission trips to the Red Bird Mission. She was a founding and lifelong member of GYA Alumni where she forged many life long friendships. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. She had an infectious smile, quick wit, and loved to tell a good story. She was always on the go and up for an adventure. She loved gardening, traveling, and her card club. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Morris, sweet great granddaughter, Gracie Morris; her ornery brothers, Dave and Elmer Leadingham; and her beloved sister, Rosemary Malone. She is survived by son, Bill (Aimee) Morris; her daughter, Lisa Sutton; stepdaughter Debbie Kindred and family; her grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Nicholas , Jessica (Jon), Melissa (Jake), Micah (Brooklyn), Spencer, Julia, and Rachael ; her great grandchildren, Liam, Elijah, Henry, Eddie, Adaline, Graysen, Stefan, William, Louisa, Westley, Ezekiel, and Benjamin; and her precious sister, Barbara (David) Thompson. Evelyn’s favorite color was blue, and the family encourages wearing blue to the visitation. The visitation will be Saturday August 29, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH from 11am to 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church of Franklin.
