

He was born in Cumberland, KY on November 28, 1932 and is preceded in death by his parents Shade and Rebecca Clay; a sister Gracie and a brother Bobby. Floyd retired from Armco in 1995 and leaves behind Blanche his loving wife and friend of 50 years; 4 children Sonya (Greg) Johnson and Charles (Jeanie) Clay both of Germantown, David (Vicki) Clay and Missy (Rex) Kelsey both of Carlisle; 11 "precious" grandchildren Kahla and Koty Johnson, Ashley, Lauren, Ben and Isabel Clay, Colton and Dylan Clay, Jenna, Jordan and Knox Kelsey, also 1 great grandchild Ashton. He leaves sisters Doris Powell and Margaret Szoresik; 3 brothers Jimmy, Sherrill and Mike all of Kentucky and many more family and friends. Floyd a good conservative Republican kept busy by reading and studying the Bible, playing and teaching the guitar, gardening, studying and speaking Russian, writing songs, writing books and spending time with his grandchildren. If not with his friends, he was hanging out at his favorite places the library, Kroger or Tim Hortons.
Funeral services will be Friday 10:00 am at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd. St. Franklin. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm Thursday. Condolences may be made to the family at www.anderson-fh. Burial in Woodhill Cemetery.
